Tejano Nation radio affiliate La Voz 93.3 held a prayer vigil for Siggno bass player Jacob Turner in Abilene on Sunday night.
The 21-year-old musician, son of Siggno lead vocalist Jesse Turner, was critically injured in a tragic auto accident on February 8 in Harlingen and remains in a coma at South Texas hospital since the accident.
Musicians, fans and radio personalities attended the prayer vigil held at the La Voz 93.3 studios.
“The event was a great success, we had a great turnout, with great support and love for Jacob Turner and the Siggno family,” La Voz 93.3 President and morning personality Pete Garcia told Tejano Nation. “Special thanks to Anjelique for singing and to the Abilene and Big Country community for the support.”
Anjelique, a Best New Female nominee at the 2015 Tejano Music Awards, attended the vigil to pray for Turner and sing.
“We would like for Jacob and all his family to know that we are praying for him to pull through this tough time and although we may not know exactly what it feels like to be in their shoes, we know they need all the prayers from us for the Lord to give them strength and comfort,” Anjelique told Tejano Nation.
More prayer vigils are scheduled around the state over the next two weeks as fans hope for Turner to make a complete recovery from the accident.
